Frequently Asked Questions

The following are frequently asked questions regarding IGdm Pro.

The IGdm Pro License is a monthly subscription and is renewed every month. After your first payment, your next charge will be in 30 days via Stripe or Paypal. If Stripe or Paypal is unable to charge you in any given month, your License key will become invalid. To cancel or update your payment details, see "How do I cancel or manage my subscription?" below.
You can cancel your subscription or update your payment method from the subscription management page. To open it: from this website, use the Manage subscription link in the footer (under Product). From the IGdm Pro app, open the menu (top-left), click "Your Subscription", then click "Manage Subscription". You can also go directly to igdm.me/manage-subscription. The page will take you to the billing portal where you can cancel or update your details.
Your license is valid on one machine at a time. When you activate on a new computer, you will be asked for a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email; completing that step automatically disconnects the license from the previous machine. If you need other people to use IGdm Pro on their own machines, consider a team plan, which gives each team member their own seat and license.
Ideally, you will instantly receive an email containing your License key after you've made payment. However, in some cases, there might have been an issue during validation of your payment. If you do not receive your License key in an hour after your payment was done, please reach out to us via the contact info on the footer of this webpage.
Scheduled Messages require you to keep the IGdm Pro app running to work. This means that if you schedule a message to be sent out at 2PM and your computer is off or the IGdm Pro app is not running at 2PM, the message will not be sent until the next time you open the IGdm Pro app.
Message Reminders require you to keep the IGdm Pro app running to work. This means that if you create a reminder to alert you at 2PM and your computer is off or the IGdm Pro app is not running at 2PM, the reminder will not pop-up until the next time you open the IGdm Pro app.
The first time you launch the IGdm Pro app, it will attempt to install additional plugins required to work. The additional plugin installed is simply the Chromium browser which is needed for you to login to your Instagram account.
IGdm Pro uses your computer's own IP address when connecting to your Instagram account. The app does not route your connection through any external servers or proxies. This is very good because it means Instagram will see the same IP address that you normally use when browsing the internet from your computer. If you do specify a Proxy URL when logging through IGdm Pro, then Instagram will see the IP Address of that Proxy. Also if you're using a VPN or proxy on your computer, IGdm Pro will respect those settings.
For most users, proxy servers are not needed. Since IGdm Pro connects directly to Instagram's servers on your computer, then your IP address should not appear suspicious. However, if you are logged in to over 10 Instagram accounts simultaneously on the same computer, then you might want to consider using a unique Proxy address for each account. Please note that using the same Proxy address for all the accounts is not effective, because then they will all have the same IP, and you might as well not use a Proxy address at all.
No, automations do not run when your laptop is off or when the IGdm Pro app is closed. The app needs to be running on your computer for any automation features (like auto-replies, welcome messages, or scheduled messages) to work. This is because IGdm Pro is a desktop application that runs locally on your machine, not a cloud-based service. To ensure your automations work consistently, keep your computer on and the IGdm Pro app running. However, if you do turn off your computer, IGdm Pro will resume from whereever it left off whenever you launch the app again.
Auto-reply sends at most once per rule per person. When someone messages you and their message matches an auto-reply rule, the app sends your reply once. If they send another message that would match the same rule, the app does not send the same reply again for that rule for one hour—so you avoid repeated replies or back-and-forth loops. You can also configure a rule to reply only to first-time conversations (when there was no prior chat with that person).
By default, IGdm Pro sends 50 messages daily. However, you can increase this limit to as high as 100 messages. Keep in mind that each message is also separated by random delay intervals to mimic human behaviour.
No, IGdm Pro is a desktop application designed to run on Windows, macOS, and Linux computers. It is not available for mobile devices (iOS or Android). The app requires the processing power and capabilities of a full computer to handle the automation features and maintain stable connections to Instagram. If you need to manage your Instagram DMs on your phone, you'll need to use Instagram's official mobile app.
If you are on the Standard Plan, then you can connect up to 3 Instagram accounts to the App. If you are on the Scale plan, then there's no limit to how many accounts you can connect. The limit will only depend on the capacity of your computer. Each logged in account is equivalent to running a browser on your computer, so if you log in 10 accounts, it is equivalent to running 10 browsers on your computer. So the larger the spec of your computer, the more accounts it can connect. You can always check your computer's task manager to see how much resources you have eaten up as you connect more accounts.
You can open the team management portal in two ways. From this website, use the "Manage Team" link in the footer of this website. From the IGdm Pro app, open the menu (top-left), click "Your Subscription", and if you're on a Team plan you'll see a "Manage Team" button that opens the portal.
With a team plan you can invite members by email, see who is on your team (and when they were added), and remove members. Each member uses one seat and can connect their own Instagram accounts according to your plan—for example, up to 3 accounts per seat on Standard Team, or unlimited accounts per seat on Scale Team. All team management (add or remove members) is done in the team portal (see footer for link)
IGdm Pro automatically checks for updates when you launch the app (if you already had the App running, simply restart it to trigger the update check). When a new version is available, you'll see a notification prompting you to update (usually it takes about 2 minutes for the prompt to appear). Simply click the update button, and the app will download and install the latest version automatically. In the case where you do not see the prompt, you can manually install the latest version from the website (just visit the home page).
