How To Update IGdm Pro

IGdm Pro checks for updates when you launch the app. If you already have the app open, quit and reopen it to trigger an update check.

Automatic update (recommended)

  1. Quit IGdm Pro completely, then open it again.
  2. Wait a minute or two. If a newer version is available, the app downloads it in the background.
  3. When the download finishes (usually takes about 2 minutes), you will see a dialog titled Application Update with an Install Update button.
  4. Click Install Update. The app restarts and installs the new version.

Manual update

If you do not see the update prompt, download and install the latest version from the IGdm Pro home page. Run the installer for your operating system and follow the on-screen steps.

Check which version you are running

macOS
  1. Open IGdm Pro.
  2. In the menu bar, click IGdm Pro (next to the Apple menu).
  3. Select About IGdm Pro.
  4. The version number appears in the About window (for example, 4.14.0).
Windows
  1. Open SettingsAppsInstalled apps (or Apps & features on older Windows versions).
  2. Search for IGdm-Pro or IGdm Pro.
  3. The version number is listed next to the app name.

Alternatively, right-click the IGdm Pro shortcut or executable file, choose Properties, open the Details tab, and look for File version.

Linux
  1. If you use the AppImage, check the filename of the file you run. It usually includes the version (for example, IGdm-Pro-4.14.0.AppImage).
  2. If you extracted a zip package, right-click the IGdm Pro executable, open Properties, and check the version field if your file manager shows one.
  3. After installing an update, quit and reopen the app so the new version is loaded.

Need a specific version?

Some fixes are only available in newer releases. For example, the Instagram connection fix from June 2026 requires version 4.14.0 or later. See the service status page for details.
